Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Proxee handles information across the Proxee macOS app, the Proxee Companion iOS app, the proxee.dev website, licensing, downloads, and support.
Who To Contact
Proxee is operated by the developer of Proxee. For privacy or support questions, contact support@proxee.dev.
iOS Companion App
Proxee Companion does not require an account, does not include payments, does not use advertising tracking, and does not currently use analytics.
The companion app uses the camera only when you choose to scan a Proxee QR code. Camera frames are processed on device for QR scanning and are not saved or uploaded by Proxee.
The companion app uses local network access to connect to the Proxee macOS app running on your Mac. Local network access is used only to open and display your Proxee session on the same network.
macOS App
The Proxee macOS app runs a local proxy on your Mac so your iPhone can view and sync with your local development site. Website content you view through Proxee is handled locally on your devices and local network.
To unlock paid access, the macOS app sends the license key and a device identifier hash to the Proxee license backend. The app stores local license state so it can remain unlocked between validation checks.
Website Analytics
The proxee.dev website uses OneDollarStats for website analytics. This helps understand visits to the website, such as page views, referrers, UTM campaign parameters, device/browser information, approximate location, and clicked elements or events configured on the site.
Website analytics is used to understand whether the website is working and which pages are useful. OneDollarStats is not used inside the Proxee macOS app or the Proxee Companion iOS app.
Payments, Licenses, And Refunds
Proxee uses Polar as merchant of record for checkout, payments, license keys, invoices, customer portal access, and refunds. When you buy Proxee, Polar handles payment and customer records according to Polar's own terms and privacy policy.
Proxee receives and processes the license information needed to activate, validate, deactivate, renew, refund, or revoke licenses.
Hosting, Downloads, And Logs
The website and license backend are hosted on Vercel. Downloads and update files are delivered through Cloudflare and Cloudflare R2. These services may process standard technical information such as IP address, request path, user agent, timestamps, and error logs to operate and secure the service.
Support
If you email support, the information you provide is used to respond to your request. This may include your email address, license or purchase details you share, device/app version details, screenshots, and error messages.
Retention And Deletion
Proxee keeps information only as long as needed to operate the product, provide support, maintain license records, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes. You can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@proxee.dev.
Some records, such as invoices, payment records, refund records, and fraud-prevention records, may need to be kept where required by law or by payment and accounting obligations.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Proxee changes.
